How to get a daily or weekly summary of your WhatsApp groups

Create a summary

1. Open Summaries in the sidebar, under Groups.
2. Click New summary.
3. Type a Name, for example "Sales groups, daily".
4. Tick the Groups to include (up to 25).
5. Optionally fill in What do you want to know?, for example "Any pricing questions or complaints?".
6. Under How often, choose daily or weekly. For weekly, pick the day in On.
7. Set the time in At. It uses your account time zone.
8. Optionally tick Also send it to my WhatsApp.
9. Click Create summary.

To get it on WhatsApp, save your mobile number in My Profile first. The summary goes to that number. Quiet periods send nothing.

What a summary contains

Each scheduled run covers the messages since the previous run. Groups with no messages show No messages in this period. For a very busy group, only the most recent 2,000 messages in the period are included.

• A short overview for each group, plus Across your groups when two or more groups were active.
• What you wanted to know: points that match your question, when you wrote one.
• Highlights.
• Needs action.
• Open questions.

Run, pause, edit or delete

Recent summaries appear below Your summaries. Click one to read it.

• Run now: makes a summary straight away. It covers the last day for a daily summary, or the last 7 days for a weekly one. You can run summaries by hand up to 10 times an hour.
• Pause and Resume: stop or restart the schedule.
• Edit: change the name, groups, question, schedule or WhatsApp delivery.
• Delete: removes the summary. Summaries it already made stay in your history.
