Why did my scheduled post fail or not send?

Open the post under Your posts to see its Send plan. Any chat that did not get the message shows failed with a short reason underneath.

Common reasons

  • Missed: the send was more than 60 minutes late because WhatsApp was disconnected or the server was down. It is skipped instead of sent late, because an old message can do more harm than a missed one.
  • Daily sending limit reached: your account already sent its maximum scheduled messages in the last 24 hours (200 unless your account has a different limit).
  • Interrupted while sending: something stopped mid send, so we don't know if it was delivered. Check the chat. We never resend in this case, to avoid a duplicate in the group.
  • Attempt failed: a send failed and is retried. Each chat gets up to 3 attempts, a few minutes apart, before it is marked failed.

What to do

  1. Check that your WhatsApp is still connected. If it is not, reconnect it first.
  2. Open the post and read the reason under each failed chat.
  3. Schedule a new post for the chats that failed, at a later time.

Scheduled posts only go out while your WhatsApp is connected. Sends are also paced at least 15 seconds apart across all your posts, so a busy schedule can run a little later than planned.

Common questions

My post says completed but one chat failed. Is that normal?

Yes. A post is completed when every chat has been handled. Failed chats are listed with their reason in the Send plan.

Will a failed message be sent later by itself?

Only while it is still retrying. Once it shows failed, it will not be sent. Schedule it again.
