CallMePing

How to keep your WhatsApp number safe from bans

CallMePing links to your number like WhatsApp Web, which is not Meta's official API, and WhatsApp's terms restrict unofficial automation. The good news: what keeps a number safe is mostly normal, polite messaging, and Ping is built to work that way.

What CallMePing already does for you

  • Ping only replies to people who message you first. It never starts conversations on its own.
  • Ping never replies automatically in groups.
  • When a customer sends several messages quickly, Ping waits until they finish and sends one reply, not one per message.
  • Incoming messages are not marked as read for you. They stay unread on your phone until you open them.
  • Your number keeps the same connection when you reconnect, so WhatsApp does not see a login from somewhere new each time.
  • Messages sent through the Developer API are limited per number, however many API keys you use.

Add a human pace to replies

Ping then waits a random time within that range and shows "typing..." before it sends, like a person would. The default is 0, which means instant.

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Under Reply delay (seconds), set a small range, for example 3 to 10.

Good habits

  • Use a number that is already well established, ideally a dedicated business number with normal chat history. A brand new number is best used normally on your phone for a while before you connect it.
  • Do not send bulk messages to people who did not ask to hear from you, whether through the API, scheduled posts or by hand.
  • Post in groups at a sensible pace and only content the group expects.
  • If someone asks you to stop messaging them, stop.
  • Keep your knowledge up to date so Ping gives useful answers. Unhelpful replies get reported more often.
  • Keep WhatsApp on your phone active and avoid linking and unlinking the number over and over.

Common questions

Can CallMePing guarantee my number will not be banned?

No service that links to WhatsApp this way can guarantee it. Following the habits above keeps the risk low.

Should I use my personal number?

You can, but a dedicated business number is recommended. It keeps personal and customer chats apart too.

My number was restricted by WhatsApp. What should I do?

Follow the steps WhatsApp shows in the app on your phone, and email support with your connected number so we can look at your account.
