How to connect WhatsApp with a QR code
You connect WhatsApp by scanning a QR code from Linked Devices in the WhatsApp app on your phone. It takes about a minute and each code is valid for two minutes.
Before you start
- Have the phone with the WhatsApp number you want to connect in your hand.
- Open CallMePing on a computer or a second screen, so you can point your phone at the QR code.
- Make sure your phone is online.
Scan the code
- On the CallMePing login screen, choose your country and type your number without the country code.
- Click Continue with QR code and wait a few seconds while the code is prepared.
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Tap Settings, then Linked Devices. On Android, tap the three dots menu, then Linked devices.
- Tap Link a Device and point your phone at the QR code.
- Wait for the We're connected! screen. You are taken into the app.
A timer under the code shows how long it has left. If it runs out, click Get a new QR code.
What happens after you connect
- Your recent WhatsApp chats are imported into Chats in the background. This can take a minute.
- Imported chats start with the AI off, so the AI does not suddenly reply in old conversations. You can hand any of them to the AI later.
- The AI is off until you turn it on. Go to Settings and switch on Turn on AI Agent when you are ready.
- Your 7 day free trial starts if this is a new number.
Use a different number
While the QR code is showing, click Use a different number to go back and type another number.
