How to mark Command Center items done, dismiss or reopen them
The Items list at the bottom of the Command Center Dashboard shows every task, promise, decision, blocker and question found in your groups. You can tick an item done, dismiss one that is wrong, or reopen it later.
The five types of item
Each item shows the group, who raised it, the owner (or No owner) and a due badge such as Due today or Past due when a date was mentioned. Items close on their own when someone later says the work is done, for example "quote sent" closes "send the quote".
- Task: something someone needs to do.
- Promise: something someone said they will do.
- Decision: something the group agreed on.
- Blocker: something that is stuck.
- Question: a question that has not been answered yet.
Filter the list
Open shows everything still open, whenever it was raised. Done shows items closed in the dates you picked. Everything shows items raised, closed or changed in those dates. The list shows up to 200 items; narrow the group, dates or type to see the rest.
- Choose Open, Done or Everything.
- Click a type: All, Tasks, Promises, Decisions, Blockers or Questions.
- With Open selected, click Overdue only to see just the late items.
Mark an item done, dismiss or reopen it
- Click the round checkbox next to an item to mark it done.
- Click Dismiss on an open item that is wrong or not needed.
- To undo, click the checkbox on a done item, or click Reopen on a dismissed item.
Items you change by hand show "by you" next to Done or Dismissed, so you can tell them apart from items the AI closed.
See the original message
For a closed item, the message that closed it is shown when there is one.
- Click Show message under an item.
- Read the quoted message, then click Hide message to close it.
Common questions
An item is wrong. Can I edit its title or owner?
No. You can only mark it done, dismiss it or reopen it. Dismiss items that are wrong.
Why does an item say No owner?
Nobody was clearly named as responsible in the messages. If someone later takes it on in the group, the owner can be filled in on a later check.
Can people in the group see what I mark done?
No. Command Center never sends anything to the group. Changes only affect your own list.
