How to test your AI before customers see it

Run a test

You can keep chatting to test follow up questions. The AI sees the last 12 messages of the test conversation. Each message can be up to 1,000 characters.

1. Open Train AI.
2. Find the Test your AI panel next to your knowledge.
3. Type a customer message in Type a customer message, or click one of the suggested questions.
4. Click Send and read the answer.
5. Click Clear to start a fresh conversation.

What the results mean

• A normal reply bubble: the AI found the answer in your knowledge.
• Your AI wouldn't answer this: the question is not in your knowledge yet. A real customer would get no reply and the question would be flagged. Add it as a source.
• Not in your knowledge. This is your fallback reply: the AI didn't know, and this is the message your instructions tell it to send instead.
• Would also send your photo: the AI would send one of your images with this caption.
• Automation triggered: the question would start one of your AI Automations. In a real chat it would collect details and save the lead.

Try new instructions before saving

The panel uses whatever is typed on the Instructions tab, even if you have not clicked Save. Change a line, test again, and save once you are happy.

After you add an answer from the Unanswered tab, the panel asks that question again automatically so you can check the new reply.
